  • 2.0 out of 5 stars(2/5) – 4/14/2012 – The Boon Potty Bench is sturdily built, but has major flaws. It appears to have been designed for girls, with a flat seating surface. To compensate they added a pop-up flexible spoon-shaped extension for boys that slides into a slot on the drawer…. The large size might also be an issue in some rooms…. • 5.0 out of 5 stars(5/5) – 8/27/2012 – Having a 2 year old I’ve seen many pottys on the market. What I LOVE about this one is you can put TP in one section and books in the other. It is VERY easy to slide the “bowl” in and out and to clean…. I also like tha it can serve as a stool when she is ready to get on the bigger potty…. (read more and buy it at Amazon.com)
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars(5/5) – 9/26/2011 – We bought this potty when our son turned 2, however he was not ready to begin potty training until now (3) so instead of returning it we just used the bench/stool aspect…. • 5.0 out of 5 stars(5/5) – 5/13/2011 – … I also like the clean lines and how it can fold into a step stool and not look like a potty when not in use.The toilet roll holder is also a good idea, especially if you follow some advice and just pick a warm weekend to go p ants-free outside or something as your potty-training method…. • 3.0 out of 5 stars(3/5) – 8/20/2010 – I bought this potty seat for my daughter when she was potty training and had no real issues with it. Fast forward 2 1/2 years to now potty training my son, and it doesn’t seem as great. The seat itself is large enough, and I like the fact that it’s sturdy and you can’t really tip the potty over, but the hole of the potty is a bit too small…. Also, the little attachment made to accommodate boys is only effective if you make sure your son is leaning forward and his stream pointing down…. I’m not sure I’d recommend buying it if you have a boy, or particularly larger kids…. (read more and buy it at Target.com)

What the Makers Say

  • Let’s get this potty started! Cartoon versions of grown-up toilets don’t make kids want to use the potty. They make parents want to throw out tacky baby products. We went for modern, subtle and smart. Boon’s Potty Bench has two enclosed side storage spaces perfect for books, training supplies and wipes. The sturdy drawer slides out for fast, leak-free, easy clean-up. Close the lid and the whole thing turns into a large step stool. It even comes with a built-in toilet paper holder and removable, soft deflector shield that flexes where it counts. (Guys, you know what we mean.)…. (read more at BoonInc.com)
