Why Buy Baby Stuff Online?

Why Buy Baby Stuff Online?

Mothers are increasingly looking to buy baby products online. Not only do you save upwards of 50%, you save a lot of time you would have spent traveling from one store to another. While one store might offer 3 options for baby booster seats, you can find 13 unique booster seats and hook-on chairs at Goo Goo Gear. Plus there’s a collection of reviews and safety recall information already collected in one place so you don’t have too much time researching and comparing baby stuff online. Why spend 2 hours shopping in the store, or hours poring over baby catalogs, when you can find out in 2 minutes what the right product is for you based on what other mothers are saying?

When to buy baby items?

It’s never too early to research. Don’t settle for cheap baby products when you can find the perfect fit for your infant, toddler, or growing child. There’s a never ending list of items to buy for your baby right? Some mothers feel the urge to buy something to celebrate the conception. Like some baby socks for example. But before you make some large ticket item purchases, fight that urge and instead read some reviews first because emotional buying isn’t necessarily in your baby’s best interest. Since you have up to 8-months of planning you can get a budget together well in advance.

Snow Day as a Mom

Nothing like a good ol’ fashion snow day to let you catch up on life!

On 3/6/13 the weathermen called for a big blizzard, but this is what it looked like haha.

On 3/6/13 the weathermen called for a big blizzard, but this is what it looked like haha.

As kids, we were giddy with the prospect of making snow angels — and maybe there would even be enough snow for an actual snowman!

As a new mom, I’m just excited that I have a day to check some items off my ever-growing to do list.  Small victories!

I recently started a new job and joined the circus of moms out there who somehow balance work in and out of the home.  All of a sudden, I’m spinning plates, but I’m a far cry from joining the amazing Cirque du Soleil troupe.

I think most moms out there feel this way (unless they’re fortunate enough to have lots of flawless help!), so I’m trying to learn all their tricks of the trade.  A couple good ones so far: (1) wash hair the night before (thanks, Beth!); (2) get an easy hair cut that doesn’t require daily washing (thanks, Anne!); and (3) shave legs on Saturday (thanks, Anonymous :).  I also learned a few lessons my first week through simple trial and error: (4) silk blouse goes on right before you walk out the door, after baby’s breakfast; and (5) silk blouse comes off the minute you walk back though the door; before baby’s dinner. (Thank you, Princess Cleaners.)

I’d love to hear any other tips from the army of women out there who somehow make it all work!  Please share your secrets! We’re all in this together!
