  • 5.0 out of 5 stars(5/5) – 12/4/2012 – This is how to choose which Britax cars seat will work for you. It can be confusing and small differences matter. The numbers 55 and 70 indicates maximum weigh of the child. CS means Click and Safe snug harness indicator, G3 is new line with 2 new features: – HUGS new chest pads with safecell technology that are designed to compress in a crash and reduce the amount of impact forces experienced by the child and – EZ easy buckle system that prevents the child from sitting on the buckle when boarding…. Overall I rate the this car seat 5 stars. No complaints:…. (read more and buy it at
  • 1.0 out of 5 stars(1/5) – 11/29/2012 – I’ve always loved Britax seats and it kills me to write a bad review, but I have to…. I have no issues with the safety rating for this seat, and would give that aspect a 5-star rating. My big issue is that the straps on the 5-point harness are ridiculously short…. I don’t think a child of 70lb could fit into these straps…. (read more and buy it at
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars(4/5) – 12/18/2012 – … I chose the Pavilion over the Advocate because I did not want the bulky sides that the Advocate has…. Cons: I cannot get the straps to loosen well enough to get my baby out with ease. Yes, there is the little lever you flip up, and you can pull the straps, but they only go so loose (in comparison to the infant seat) still making it difficult to get her arms out…. (read more and buy it at
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars(4/5) – 9/24/2012 – This seat was very quick and easy to install with the latch system…. The other issue is the language that seems to come across as a requirement that the “patented” Britax Tether system be used in both FF and RF configurations….  For the poor language and tether instruction used in the instructions they loose a star.  (read more and buy it at

What the Makers Say

  • HUGS Chest Pads with SafeCell Technology are affixed to the seat shell to ensure proper positioning while SafeCells compress to manage energy and provide resistance to the forward movement of your child in a crash, reducing the risk of head injury
  • EZ-Buckle System retains the harness buckle in a forward position and prevents the child from sitting on the buckle when boarding
  • True Side Impact Protection is deep side walls with energy-absorbing EPP foam along with a head restraint which offers a double layer of EPP foam to distribute crash forces, shield from vehicle intrusion, and contain the head, neck and body while keeping them “in true” or aligned
  • Base with SafeCell Technology features SafeCells designed to compress in a crash, significantly lowering the center of gravity and counteracting the forward rotation of the child seat which normally propels the child toward the front seat
  • Integrated Steel Bars strengthen the connection to the vehicle and reduce forward flexing of the child seat during a crash
  • Energy-Absorbing Versa-Tether features a staged-release tether webbing to slow the forward movement, reducing the crash forces reaching the child, and a two-point attachment to minimize forward rotation while anchoring the top of the child seat
  • Click & Safe® Snug Harness Indicator is an audible aid that provides extra assurance when the harness is within range of appropriate snugness
  • Tangle-Free, Five-Point Harness distributes crash forces across the strongest parts of the body and provides a secure fit…. (read more at
