Buying a baby bath is a stressful, even though it’s not a big ticket item. I had nightmares about my newborn slipping, drowning, scalding, and shivering during bath time. And so I hunted for the safest baby bath tub. But the fact is that a tub is only as safe as the parent using it. Yes, some tubs are more slippery than others. But a cautious parent will know how to keep their baby safe. (I put a bath towel under Amelia for the first couple months to keep her from slipping under the water. An easy fix.)
The Whale of a Tub by Fisher Price is a personal favorite. I started with the Summer Infant Fold Away, but I switched to the Whale because it fits in my sink and I much rather bathe Amelia while standing up! We’ve been using it for a year now and I still love it.

What do you think, Mama? Thoughts to share with the other nervous moms wondering which baby bath tub is best?

Baby Diego go back to the 1950’s where you belong. The Prince Lionheart Wash Pod looks like a fancy garbage can. If you want a “hard” tub, stick with the first two. Don’t get spendy, there’s lots more to buy. A towel in the sink works just fine. Keep it simple.
